Symptom and Finding:

NA

Cause:

For first time configuration on the xPortalNet software to use with Panasonic CCTV system.

Solution:

Warning!

  • Users are not recommended to run any xPortal software in Windows XP operating system as the system is unstable

  • Users are also advised to stop the xPortal Services before shutting down the Server PC to prevent any missing transaction issues.

Note

  • Please ensure that the xPortalNet software is properly installed and that the software database has been initialized.
  • Also, please ensure that the CCTV module dongle license has been plugged in to the xPortalNet Server PC, and that the PC has detected the dongle license.

Step-by-step Guide:

  • To install the Panasonic Library file at xPortalNet Client PC:

Step 1: Download and install Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (vcredist_x86.exe) in xPortalNet Server PC:

Step 2: Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\MicroEngine\xPortalNet PS\Client\Panasonic. Run the MicroEngine.Integration.CCTV Libraries Setup file to install the Panasonic CCTV Integration module.

Step 3: The MicroEngine.Integration.CCTV Libraries window will be shown. Follow the instructions to install the integration module.

Step 4: Click Browse to select the installation destination folder for the integration module.

Step 5: Click Next to confirm the installation folder location. The setup file will then install the module at the designated destination folder.


Step 6: Once the installation has been completed, the following window will be prompted. Click Close.

  • Continue the setup by configuring the CCTV module setup in the xPortalNet software:
