Solution:

Information

For Plato readers connected using the RS485 protocol, the general application is connected using a twister pair of signal wires in the Daisy Chain topology. This ensures that the differential line of communication is balanced and avoids signal reflections which will cause communication errors.

Summary:

  • To re-terminate readers wiring connection using the Daisy Chain topology.

Step-by-step Guide:

  • To re-terminate readers wiring connection using the Daisy Chain topology:

Step 1: Disconnect the terminal block for power and downlink communication for the Plato readers at the XP-M1000i controller board.

Step 2: Re-terminate the readers following the Daisy Chain topology.
