Problem (Issue) Statement:

Why the xPortalNet Client Floor Plan always point to Input 1 details only regardless of which device is clicked by the user

Description:

In xPortalNet Client's Floor Plan, irrespective of the device selection (be it controllers, doors, other inputs, outputs, or alarm connections) clicked by the user, the software only shows the details of Input 1.

Symptom and Finding:

The symptom occurs on all device types in the floor plan such as Door, Output, Input or Camera devices. The software always show the details of INPUT 1 only without regarding the other devices.

Cause:

This issue happens after client upgraded the xPortalNet software from v1.5.0.125 to xPortalNet PS v1.5.0.138 to support MicroEngine OPC server integration.

Step-by-step Guide:

  • To upgrade the xPortalNet PS from v1.5.0.138 to v1.5.0.145:

Step 1: Log out from the xPortalNet Server and Client application.


Step 2: Right click the xPortalNet Service icon and task bar. Click on Stop the xPortalNet Service and click exit.

Step3: Go to Control Panel > Program And Feature.


Step 4: Select xPortalNet Service, Server and Client to uninstall.


Step 5: Re-install latest xPortalNet software v1.5.0.145 above.


Step 6: Open xPortalNet Services and start running. Ensure dongle license has plug in to USB port.


Step 7: Once dongle license detected by Comm Services. Can launch xPortalNet Server or Client.


/wiki/spaces/SRN/pages/97223020 above has fixed a bug where the Send Input Command window is always shown although the selected device type is not input.
