Problem (Issue) Statement:

Why are users unable to generate Door User List report, with the software showing error message of "No Staff or Visitor Records Found" in xPortalNet HS software

Description:

When users attempted to generate the Door User List report in xPortalNet HS software, the software prompted the error message of "No Staff/Visitor Records Found".

Symptom and Finding:

When the Staff Record listing is opened, all card users are using the "Free Access (0001)" door accessibility schedule.

When users have selected a door to generate the Door User List report, xPortalNet HS Client will indicate the Total Acc Involved message.

But after the Total Door Acc Involved message, the following message is shown to indicate that there is No Staff/Visitor records found!

Cause:

The software is bugged such that the Door User List report did not take into account the staff records whose door access level is assigned with the free access (0001) code for door accessibility schedule.

The Door User List report only showed staff or card users assigned with other door access codes, excluding free access code.

Solution:

Warning!

  • Users are not recommended to run any xPortal software in Windows XP operating system as the system is unstable

  • Users are also advised to stop the xPortal Services before shutting down the Server PC to prevent any missing transaction issues.

Users have to update the software to xPortalNet HS v1.5.4.111 or newer to fix the bug where the Door User List did not show the records involving card holders with door access code of 0001 (Free Access).
