How to troubleshoot the issue where the Attendance Report for legacy XP-GT controllers only show Valid Entry or Valid Exit transactions

Description:

When the Attendance Report is generated for the legacy XP-GT controllers, the Attendance Report only showed Valid Entry or Valid Exit transactions. The staffs clocked in and out daily, but the issue still persists.

Symptom and Finding:

After generating the Attendance Report, users noticed that all the transactions are shown as "Valid Entry"or  "Valid Exit" transactions only. 

Cause:

A single unit of legacy XP-GT controller cannot be used as both entry and exit reader at the same time. Users have the following options:

1. Option 1: connecting 2 units of legacy XP-GT controllers so that 1 unit serves as entry reader while the other serves as exit reader.
   
   
   

2. Option 2: connecting 1 unit of legacy XP-GT controller and another unit of XP-RDPRX as the respective reader.

Solution:

• To re-configure the legacy XP-GT controller based on the option selected.
