Why the XP-M1000i controller's buzzer keep beeping even though the door is closed

Users noticed that the XP-M1000i controller buzzer is consistently beeping even though the door is closed.

• XP-M1000i

• The controller's buzzer is consistently beeping even though the door is closed.

• Door sensor is opened (or faulty) while the controller is in Security On mode
• The controller's tamper is activated
• The controller is in test mode (diagnostic mode)

Step 1: Ensure that the door is properly closed, and that the both parts of the door sensor are in close proximity with one another.

Step 2: If the door is properly closed and both door sensors are in close proximity, users are advised to check if the door sensor is functional by swapping them with a known functioning unit.

• To check the tamper of the controller:

Step 1: At the controller board, check and ensure that the controller enclosure is properly closed, and that the tamper switch on the enclosure cover is not activated (opened).

Step 2: Ensure that the tamper switch is properly connected to the tamper connector on the controller board.

• To check the Test Mode jumper on the controller:

Step 1: Find the Test Mode jumper on the controller board. Ensure that the jumper is opened, i.e. ensure that the jumper leads are exposed and not connected by any jumper terminals.
