How to Configure Guard Tour Reader in xPortalNet Software

Description:

A guide to configure the Guard Tour Reader. This feature is applicable when user want to apply guard tour checking. The assigned guard will have to flash their card to the configured Guard Tour Reader upon the checking. Only accessible guard can access the door. Otherwise, they can only perform the guard tour checking.

xPortalNet v1.5.0.104 or higher

Related Hardware:

XP-M2000i v6.10 and above, XP-M1000i v2 v6.00 and above

System Application:

Door Access System

Symptom and Finding:

NIL

Cause:

For first time guide to configure the Guard Tour Reader in xPortalNet software.

Solution:

Warning!

  • Users are not recommended to run any xPortal software in Windows XP operating system as the system is unstable

  • Users are also advised to stop the xPortal Services before shutting down the Server PC to prevent any missing transaction issues.

Pre-Configuration

Please configure the correct controller model supporting the Guard Tour checking feature.


Step 1: Login to xPortalNet Client. 


Step 2: Go to Guard Tour > Guard Tour Reader.


Step 3: The following window will be shown.

Step 4: Click Add to add new guard tour reader.

Step 5: Fill in the fields according to the description below:
