Tips

  • The relay contacts are connected serially to the elevator COP button contacts, make sure that the polarity going in to terminals are correct.
  • Most COP buttons may carry 24vdc, make sure that the polarity going in to terminals are correct to prevent back electromotive force.
  • The jumper setting required by most elevator suppliers on XP-SNET-E32R extension board is set to Dry Contact with NO type for standby.

Note

If the back EMF is not controlled or suppressed it will generate very large voltages that in turn can:

  • Causes arcing at contacts, reducing contact life.
  • Generate interference.
  • Damage electronics.

Common Issues:

Cabling termination not following the correct polarity may cause reduced relay contact life and generate additional interference.
