Why are users unable to login to xPortal3000 Client

Description:

Users get error messages when attempting to login to the xPortal3000 Client. As a result of that, users are unable to access xPortal3000 Client software.

Symptom and Finding:
  • Symptom 1: The following error message is shown when users attempt to login to xPortal3000 Client.
    xPortal3000 Server Service is not running Error Message

  • Symptom 2: The xPortalNet Server Service is successfully started, but the following error message is shown when users attempt to login to xPortal3000 Client.

    Figure 2: Invalid Setting. Please contact administrator! Error Message
Cause:
  • xPortal3000 Server Service is not running
  • TCP Port number is set incorrectly
  • Server connection is configured incorrectly
  • xPortal3000 software is blocked by Windows Firewall

Warning!

  • Users are not recommended to run any xPortal software in Windows XP operating system as the system is unstable

  • Users are also advised to stop the xPortal Services before shutting down the Server PC to prevent any missing transaction issues.
