  1. MicroEngine Software that support QR Code feature
  2. ME Mobile Access Application (Available at Google Play Store or Apple Apps Store)
  3. Email notification settings MUST be configured in xPortalNet Server software to allow any notification (i.e., Visitor Pre-registration Confirmation Email) to be sent to visitor via email. Refer to How to Configure the Email Notification in xPortalNet Software article to configure email notification setting.

Step 1: Login to Client software and go to Data Setup -> Access Data Setting -> Staff Records > Get Now! to open the Staff Detail Setup window.

Step 2: In Staff Detail Setup window, click Add and fill up the staff details. Select “QR Code” for Card Type and “Dynamic” for QR Code Type. Remember to enter an Email Address.

Click OK to save the record.

    Scan Pre-register QR code for first time badge activation (Verification)

Step 1: In Client software, go to Data Setup > Access Data Setting > Staff Records > Get Now!

In Staff Detail Setup window, select staff for badge activation.

Then, click on QR Code menu and select Activate Pre-Registered.

Step 2: Scan the Pre-Register QR code that was generated in ME Mobile Access application during new badge creation.

Click OK.

Step 3: Click Yes to confirm the first time badge activation.

Step 4: First Time Activation window will be opened. Guide staff to scan the QR code shown in this window to activate the pre-registered badge in ME Mobile Access application.

You can also print the activation QR code for staff by clicking button Print.

At the same time, staff will receive a “First time badge activation” email that contains the raw text of activation QR code as well as the same QR code as in First Time Activation window.

This raw text acts as an Activation Code to activate the pre-registered badge in ME Mobile Access.

    Activate pre-registered badge by scanning the activation QR code in ME Mobile Access

Step 1: Open ME Mobile Access application on your mobile phone. From the main page, tap the SCAN QR menu.

Step 2: The Scan QR camera will be opened. Bring your mobile phone closer to First Time Activation window and scan the QR code shown in that window.

Step 3: When the badge is activated successfully, tap OK.

Step 4: You will be directed to Scan Dynamic QR page where you can now scan the QR code at the QR reader to gain door access. This dynamic QR code will change every 3 seconds.

Step 5: The badge status will change to Activated after successfully activated the badge. To view the badge status, go to MY BADGES from the main page.

Step 6: Scan the dynamic QR code at MicroEngine QR code reader (Q80MS). You should get valid entry transaction or valid exit transaction.
