How to Connect 24Vdc Fire Alarm Signal to MicroEngine Controllers Using External Relays

A guide to connect 24Vdc fire alarm signal from fire alarm panel to MicroEngine controllers using external relays.

MicroEngine controllers can only accept dry contact fire alarm signal. When site is using 24Vdc wet contact for fire alarm signal, users must use an external relay to isolate the wet contact signal from fire alarm panel.

The figure below shows an example of an external relay.
