The software failed to detect the connected programming reader, where the software showed the following error messages:

  • The programming reader is not properly connected to the serial port, or
  • The programming reader is connected to the faulty serial port.

Step 1: Ensure that the XP-C80KL programming reader is properly connected to the PC via the serial port.

Step 2: Go to Device Manager > Ports (COM & LPT) > Open Communications Port (COM1) Properties > Find Driver tab > set "Disables the selective device" status to Disabled.
