Description:

This article will guide users on how to perform the ColdStart operation for the XP-SR200K controller.

ColdStart operation must be performed if users forgot the MasterPIN to enter the Programming Menu to reset the MasterPIN to default settings.

Cause:For first time guide on how to perform the ColdStart operation for the XP-SR200K controller.
Solution:

The ColdStart Operation will erase all the memory in the XP-SR200K and reset all the settings to default. Proceed only if you are sure you want to reset the controller to default settings!

Step-by-step Guide:
  • To perform ColdStart operation for the XP-SR200K controller:

Step 1: Switch off the power for the XP-SR200K controller.

Step 2: Upon switching on the reader, it will enter the power up mode. The Red LED will be blinking at this stage for 10 seconds.

.

Step 3: In the power up mode while the Red LED is blinking, press and hold the exit button for 2 seconds. The controller will then reset to factory default settings. All the card users will also be cleared from the controller memory.

Note

The default MasterPIN for the XP-SR200K is "123456". Users are advised to change the MasterPIN after performing the ColdStart operation.
