Description:Standalone reader keeps beeping.

Symptom and Finding:When the door is closed, the reader keeps producing beep sounds
Cause:Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the magnetic Door Sensor is not properly connected to the DS and 0V terminal
Solution:

Step 1: Please make sure that the wiring connection is correct.


Step 2: Check and ensure that the wiring termination is connected properly and that the wires are not loose or improperly terminated.



  • Further troubleshooting steps to determine functionality of controller:

Step 1: If problem persists even though wiring is connected correctly and properly, use a short jumper wire to connect directly from terminal DS to 0V.


Step 2: If the problem persists after connecting the jumper wire from terminal DS to 0V, the reader is faulty. Please send the reader back to your supplier to request for repair works.
