How to install, delete and clear all cards from XP-SR40 (legacy standalone controller)

XP-SR40 is a legacy standalone controller with a 40 card user capacity. This article will guide users on how to install a new card user, delete an existing card user, and to clear all card users.

• XP-SR40

Step 1: Present the Install Card (Master Card 1) to the reader. Note that the controller will respond with 2 sounds of buzzer beeping.

Step 2: Present the new card to be installed to the reader. The controller will then respond with 1 sound of buzzer beeping and the green LED will be flashed.

Step 3: Users can repeat step 1 and 2 above to add the subsequent card users.

  To delete an existing card user:

Step 1: Present the Delete Card (Master Card 2) to the reader. Note that the controller will respond with 4 sounds of buzzer beeping.

Step 2: Present the card that users wished to be deleted from the controller's memory. The controller will then respond with 1 sound of buzzer beeping and the green LED will be flashed.

Step 3: Users can repeat step 1 and 2 above to delete the subsequent card users.

  To clear all card users:

Step 1: Present the Delete All Cards (Master Card 3) to the reader. Note that the controller will respond with 5 sounds of buzzer beeping.

Step 2: Present the Delete All Cards (Master Card 3) again to confirm clearing all card users from the controller memory. The controller will then respond with 1 sound of buzzer long beeping.
