Step 1: Ensure that the controller and door statuses are shown as UP in the software.
Step 2: Ensure that the visitor access card database has been setup.

To enable Visitor Auto Sign Out feature:
Step 1: Go to xPortalNet Client > Data Setup > System Setting > Door.
Step 2: The Door Setup window will be shown. Select the door required to enable Visitor Auto Sign Out feature and click Modify.

Step 3: The Edit Door window will then be shown. At the Visitor Auto Sign Out flag dialog box, select Yes. Specify the Visitor Auto Sign Out Transaction Direction as "Exit Only" for exit transaction. Click OK to save the changes.

- Field highlighted in yellow (Visitor Auto Sign Out Trans. Direction) is only available on xPortalNet software v1.5.0.148 and above.
- The Visitor Auto Sign Out Trans. Direction feature is to allow system users to configure the auto sign out transaction's direction. The software system will automatically sign visitor out based on this setting.

Step 4: The following message window will be shown to indicate that the Record is Updated. Click OK to continue. The fingerprint template data has been sent to the XP-GT controller.

Step 5: The Send Data and Command window will be shown. Please wait for the Send Data and Command process to complete before clicking Close.

Step 6: Back at the Door Setup window, click Close to exit the window.
To observe the Latest Event List window to ensure that software automatically signed visitor out after visitor flashed access card at exit reader:
Step 1: Using the visitor's access card, flash the card at entry reader to confirm the entry of the visitor. Then, flash the same access card at the exit reader to see if the software will automatically sign the visitor out.
Step 2: Go to xPortalNet Client > Latest Event List to observe the recorded transactions as below. Ensure that software received "Valid Exit Access" and "Visitor SignOut" transactions.
